Metal Fabrication Tradesman or Experienced Trade Assistant
About the Role:

This hands-on role will see you performing a variety of tasks including drilling, cutting Tig/Mig welding, and fabricating metal components for our special vehicle manufacturing.

  • Assist the workshop with metal fabrication.
  • Ability to use various metal work machinery including guillotine, bandsaw, welder and grinder.
  • Basic use of hand tools and electric tools to assist in the manufacture and installation of components.
  • Tig/Mig welding of aluminum, stainless and mild steel items.
  • Cutting and assembling of mild steel items.
  • Assisting with other production requirements
Skills & Experiences:

To succeed in this role, you'll have a passion for hands-on work and a solid foundation in the following:

  • Automotive field is an advantage but not essential
  • Production/assembly experience in a high-quality environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Must hold a valid Australian driver's license or working toward obtaining

  • Practical experience with hand tools, power tools, and air tools

  • A background in manufacturing or fabrication
  • Experience with mechanical assembly and reading technical/mechanical drawings
  • A keen interest in picking up new skills and techniques
  • TIG /MIG welding skills are required
  • Have minimum of 1 year's prior experience in a trade assistant or labouring position, or trade qualifications
  • Be a pro-active, hands-on person with the ability to prioritise effectively, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Enjoy working in a busy team.
