Barrier Group is the Australian leader in the design and manufacture of a wide range of workplace and pedestrian safety solutions.

We're looking for a full-time Manufacturing Factory Worker to join our production team.

About the Role

We are seeking a fit, reliable and enthusiastic person with an eye for detail and who takes pride in delivering product of a very high quality. To be successful you must have:

  • Good communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet production deadlines;
  • Experience with a variety of hand tools and power equipment;
  • The ability to read basic drawings; and
  • A valid driver's licence.

General job duties will include:

  • Reading drawings and specifications;
  • Preparing raw materials using cutting and forming machines;
  • General fabrication/welding including cleaning/surface finishing (experience is not essential and full training will be provided);
  • General warehouse duties including preparing jobs for despatch;
  • Occasionally joining the installation team onsite to install your completed product; and
  • Working as a productive and efficient part of a team.

About You

  • Experience in metal fabrication and welding will be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided for all elements of our manufacturing process;
  • Valid driver's licence (HR truck licence looked on favourably);
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications;
  • Highly reliable and punctual;
  • Willing to learn and take direction;
  • Physically fit and energetic;
  • Active participant in a very team orientated business.

In return you will be rewarded with above award wages, a 4-day week roster (6:30am till 5pm) and the opportunity to work with a friendly and positive team.
