About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee and drive performance across our three manufacturing sites.

You'll lead a talented team of up to 100 staff, manage day-to-day operations, and work closely with senior management to deliver strong results and ongoing business growth.

This role is hands-on and strategic — ideal for a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment and enjoys working closely with people across all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage manufacturing operations across three sites to ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Oversee a team of up to 100 staff, providing strong leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Collaborate with key internal teams — Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering Design — to maintain alignment and workflow.
  • Manage cash flow, budgets, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
  • Oversee the company's store, repairs, aftermarket, and labour management functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all departments.
  • Ensure OHS compliance, promoting a proactive safety-first culture.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to support brand growth and new opportunities.
  • Identify and lead future growth projects, innovation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Be a proactive problem solver with a focus on long-term success and stability.
About You
  • Proven industry experience in road transport manufacturing or heavy vehicle equipment fabrication.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of road transport manufacturing experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of aluminium and Hardox materials and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-site teams with confidence and accountability.
  • Senior management level leadership experience managing teams of 60+ staff is required.
  • Highly organised multitasker with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of business operations and cash flow.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
