About the Role:

This role is a unique blend of high-level fabrication and quality control. You will be instrumental in the construction of high-pressure, large-diameter steel piping systems, applying your expertise not just to the build, but to the verification of its structural soundness.

Core Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Assembly: Interpreting complex blueprints to lay out, cut, roll, fit, and weld heavy steel plate and pipe components.
• Precision Welding: Performing advanced welding techniques (e.g., GTAW, FCAW, SMAW) on carbon, alloy, and stainless steel, meeting all code requirements (ASME, API).
• Dimensional Control: Ensuring all components meet strict dimensional tolerances prior to and during welding.

• Quality Assurance & NDT Focus:

• Direct NDT Support: Preparing welds meticulously for various NDT methods (e.g., Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Radiography).

• Proactive Defect Prevention: Utilizing your NDT knowledge to anticipate common discontinuity issues and adjust techniques to prevent them.
• Visual Inspection (VT): Conducting detailed visual inspections of all fit-ups and completed welds.
• Repair & Remediation: Promptly and expertly repairing identified weld defects based on NDT findings to ensure 100% code compliance.

What You Bring

• Certified Boilermaker Trade Qualification
• Extensive experience in heavy industrial fabrication, specifically with large-scale piping or pressure vessels.
• Crucial Requirement: Demonstrated Experience in NDT Environments. You must understand the practical application and requirements of NDT, whether through previous certification (Level I or II in MT/PT/UT/VT) or extensive experience in weld prep and interpretation of NDT reports.
• Excellent blueprint reading and fit-up skills.
• A meticulous and uncompromising commitment to safety and quality.

• Pay Rates: $51.76ph + Super + Overtime
