About The Role

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Developments Agriculture and Biosecurity branch are seeking a dynamic Business Manager to provide high-level leadership and expert business support to the Director of Research Services. This is your opportunity to contribute directly to the success of key initiatives aligned with the DPIRD Strategic Plan and operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Provide strategic and operational advice to the Director and Executive Team on sensitive and emerging issues that may impact the Department.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects, from business case development through to planning, delivery, governance, and reporting, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
• Leverage your networks and engage with subject matter experts to ensure the Director is fully briefed on all relevant matters, including political sensitivities and stakeholder interests.
• Identify emerging trends and policy implications, and present well-informed recommendations to support evidence-based decision-making at the executive level.
• Act as a central point of contact for all enquiries to the Director, managing information flow, analysis and response development to ensure proactive leadership.
