Leading Retail Organisation located in the CBD is looking for a permanent Qualified Senior Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Accounting Department and work closely with the External Accountants
  • Preparation of monthly Profit & Loss accounts and Balance sheets.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations including intercompany transactions.
  • General Ledger maintenance.
  • Preparation and lodgement of monthly and quarterly BAS and PAYG statements.
  • Fixed Asset Register maintenance.
  • Hire purchase Register maintenance.
  • Preparation of ad hoc management reports as requested.
  • Preparation of year-end financial accounts & reports.

Required Background:

  • You will be a Senior Accountant with 3-5 years of experience
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong numeracy and data management skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact and communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of MYOB & Microsoft Office (Excel mainly)
  • CA or CPA Qualified
  • Love of teamwork and growing with others
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Previous experience in the Retail industry would be highly advantageous
