The
Technology Manager
within Disruptions works closely with senior business stakeholders to provide a single point of accountability across the technology lifecycle of Plan, Build and Run for the Disruptions products and business capabilities, as well as their underlying platforms and technology components.

With Technology undertaking an ambitious 5 year strategic plan, the Technology Manager will play an essential role in developing and driving the roadmaps that will underpin the business strategy. They are accountable for aligning product delivery plans to enable the business to achieve their objectives & strategic outcomes – from concept through to operations. They manage and guide cross-functional squads and vendors to ensure features are delivered to commitments, and the products meet their service levels and are secure and resilient by design.

The Technology Manager is a true business partner and Technology leader, confident in communicating, influencing and negotiating with both business stakeholders and purely technical team members. They will bring product delivery skills and a service delivery mindset, with responsibility for managing a team onshore and a larger team virtually, driving continuous improvement and innovation. The role will manage the quality of service and operational stability, including IT risk and compliance management, delivering service improvements and managing suppliers and extended delivery teams of contractors.

You'll Have

  • Demonstrated Senior Product Ownership experience, with proven skills in product delivery, implementation and run.
  • Expert stakeholder management skills across both business and technical functions, establishing trusted relationships
  • Confident in understanding technical architectures and documentation, and effectively communicate with stakeholders that may be purely technical
  • 3+ years in implementation and delivery roles
  • 7 - 10 years experience as a senior IT business partner and/or IT manager of a portfolio of business-facing applications.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Solid experience in operational service management and service improvement
  • Demonstrated experience and ability managing a wide-ranging set of stakeholders, applications, projects and suppliers
  • Proven ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to solve, or lead the solving of, strategic problems of high complexity on a large scale
  • Strong financial management, commercial and business acumen
  • Able to work cross-functionally and align business unit processes to enterprise business processes
  • Strong people leadership skills and experience, embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Experience managing substantial project and BAU budgets
  • Experience managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and running RFPs
  • Ability to provide technical and commercial thought leadership across plan, build and run
  • Ability to manage a complex and continuously evolving landscape
  • Experience embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Preferably Airline or Airport technology experience
