Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Department of Housing and Public Works Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

What you will be doing:

• Manage activities to develop and support effective policies, projects and program responses with key stakeholders including Local Government and community organisations.

• Consult with stakeholders to support the development of effective project options to address major issues regarding the improvement of service delivery to our customer base.

• Undertake research and provide advice to First Nations Housing and Homelessness staff, Council stakeholders and customers.

• Prepare a range of written materials including cabinet submissions, executive correspondence, briefing material and information papers concerned with issues.

• Communicate effectively, sensitively and with influence with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to convey and guide acceptance of complex ideas and strategies and foster collaborative relationships.

• Scope various business improvement needs through the development of tools and templates that identify priorities/needs of stakeholders across Communities in addition to utilising research and liaison with internal and external agencies.

• Demonstrate leadership by modelling and fostering professionalism, accountability and ethical behaviour.

• You recognise and articulate the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and have the capacity to consult and negotiate according to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander protocols. You know about and understand the issues that impact on both cultures in contemporary society.
