The Geelong College is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for performing accounting and administrative tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of all accounts payable transactions.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a professional and confident manner.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience with Synergetic preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong working relationships
  • Strong data entry and management skills
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to exercise judgement and handle confidential information discreetly
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads efficiently
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or ability to obtain
  • Completion of the College anaphylaxis qualification
  • Evidence of Right to Work in Australia
  • Completion of Asthma for Schools Certificate (free course)
