Our energy sector client has an urgent requirement for a ServiceNow Specialist to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. You will be responsible for managing the ServiceNow platform and corporate applications, utlising your expertise in configuration, support, administration and development.

Responsiblilities

  • You'll be the go-to person for all things application and system administration - from configuration and security to troubleshooting and optimisation. You'll:
  • Manage and support the ServiceNow platform, along with other strategic corporate applications and systems
  • Ensure timely action on system admin requests, keeping business processes humming
  • Execute planned project work and respond swiftly to unplanned incidents
  • Balance multiple priorities and resources to meet deliverables and maintain service excellence
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, business units, and vendors to deliver secure, stable, and reliable systems

Skills and experience required

  • A Bachelor's degree in IT
  • ServiceNow Certification
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification
  • Solid experience in database technologies (MySQL, SQL, Postgres)
  • Practical skills in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, .NET, and SQL
  • Proven experience supporting and managing ServiceNow and other enterprise applications (SaaS or on-prem)
  • Strong grasp of ITSM, SDLC, change management, configuration, release, and testing methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills - you can talk tech with developers and strategy with executives
  • A professional, security-conscious approach to handling sensitive corporate data
  • Familiarity with DevOps, Agile, and Lean practices
