Your Role

As a key team member, you will work closely with Director, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimating, procurement, and project administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates and BOQs for commercial construction projects
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing
  • Manage tender submissions and timelines
  • Assist with project documentation, contracts, and variations
  • Support the project team with administrative tasks as required
  • Creating Purchase orders
  • Manage the issuance of building permits, fencing notices, Protection work notices.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience in estimating within the commercial construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction methodology and drawings
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. BuildXact, or similar)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

  • Prior experience with childcare or low to mid-rise commercial developments Knowledge of construction contracts and compliance documentation
  • Understanding of local council and planning requirements
