We are currently looking for an accountant / finance professional to lead the accounting, finance, and administration aspects of our business.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for finance and accounting who loves the thought of working in a fast paced, dynamic company with a growth mindset. As company accountant, you will play an instrumental role in the financial management of the company.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting & Reporting
1. Month-end and year-end closing, including all aspects of the accounting process (journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations).
2. Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and monthly management reports
3. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards

Maintain fixed asset registers.
5. Prepare and lodge BAS, FBT, payroll tax and superannuation obligations.
6. Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and support external audits when required..
7. Maintain appropriate documentation for tax, audit, and statutory purposes.
Operational Finance
1. Oversee AP/AR processes and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely payments and collections.
2. Accountability for all overseas payments using the company's international trade finance facilities.
3. Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow.
4. Manage employee reimbursements and payroll journals.
5. Manage the finances of the various entities in the group (Trading Entities, Property Holding Entities)
Business Support & Improvement
1. Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making across departments.
2. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
3. Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and enhance efficiency.
4. Support the Finance Head in ad hoc analysis and finance projects.
Requirements
1. Formal Qualifications in Accounting or a Finance or related field
2. Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a full-function accounting role in Australia.
3. Hands-on experience with ERP / accounting software.
4. Meticulous attention to detail.
5. Ability to work in team as well as independently.
6.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
7.
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
