Job Opportunity: Senior Accountant

A highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant is required to lead a portfolio of clients for a reputable accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client portfolios, ensuring timely completion of tasks and delivery of exceptional results.
  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns for various entity types, adhering to compliance regulations and industry standards.
  • Attend to regulatory obligations, including income tax, GST, superannuation, land tax, and stamp duty.
  • Develop and review taxation advice, budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial models to support business growth and decision-making.
  • Deliver tailored accounting solutions, handle SMSF administration and compliance, and liaise with external parties as necessary.
  • Engage in value-add and bespoke projects, contributing to process improvements and mentoring junior staff members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in public practice, preferably with a CA/CPA qualification.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail and big-picture perspective.
  • Familiarity with MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero, along with a proactive work ethic and desire for new challenges.
