About Us

Elegant Engineering is a boutique structural engineering firm known for our personable service, attention to detail, and creative, practical solutions.

We specialise in and collaborate with industries across Sydney and interstate including:

  • Bespoke architecture and landscaping
  • Signage infrastructure
  • Tower crane installations and temporary works

Our small, agile team takes ownership of projects from start to finish. We're now seeking a talented structural engineer who's eager to grow technically and professionally in a hands-on environment.

The Role

Working in a dynamic, challenging position in a supportive team environment, where you'll wear multiple hats—from design to client liaison. You'll be involved in structural design of tower cranes, concrete boom pumps, residential structures, pools, and signage.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing quotes, drafting, technical drawings, and construction details
  • Creating material lists and specifications
  • Coordinating with installers and managing feedback
  • Writing clear, professional structural reports
  • Managing client relationships and expectations
  • Site visits, inspections and reporting
  • Supporting project coordination and admin tasks

What We're Looking For

You're a proactive, detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative setting. You'll bring:

  • A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and 1 to 3+ years of experience
  • Have Engineers Australia registration or eligibility
  • Proficiency in SPACEGASS, SLABS, AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
  • Solid understanding of Australian Standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • White card, valid driver's licence, and full working rights in Australia
