Ambition engineering is looking for pipe welder.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the servicing of equipment in our workshop and on occasion may be requested to service our equipment and clients onsite.

These are full-time permanent roles.

Your other duties will include;

• Must have welding skills of certain material pipes (Stainless, Duplex, Titanium)
• Must be familiar with automatic welding machines (Model - Orbitalum from Orbimax)
• Having experience working at a food factory site
• Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
• Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
• Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
• Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement – in addition to this they will have

• At least two years of relevant full-time experience , or at least three years of full-time work experience where no suitable trade certificate is held
• Extensive experience with cutting, shaping, joining, and repairing metal components of iron and steel structures, boilers, pressure vessels and pipes, ships, and other vessels.
• Dogging and Forklift tickets with relevant experience.
• Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and work unsupervised in a team
