We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Delivery Lead to oversee the delivery of a high-profile initiative. This role requires a senior program delivery professional who can provide structure, coordination, and assurance across all stages of the program lifecycle.

The position will focus on strengthening delivery capability, managing governance processes, overseeing vendor activities, tracking milestones, and ensuring effective reporting rhythms. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure risks, dependencies, and delivery decisions are well-managed and visible. Your leadership will be critical in fostering accountability and confidence in execution.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Program Coordination: Establishing robust delivery structures, including reporting frameworks, milestone tracking, and risk/issue management processes.
  • Vendor Management: Building strong relationships with vendors and delivery partners to ensure timely and high-quality completion of contracted work.
  • Governance Support: Contributing to governance forums by preparing documentation, materials, briefings, and follow-ups.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and program momentum.
  • Workstream Integration: Collaborating closely with technical leads and project teams to ensure seamless integration between technical and delivery workstreams.

Desirable Capabilities And Experience
While not essential, candidates with the following experience will be highly regarded:

  • Background in public policy, social research, program delivery, or related domains.
  • Familiarity with data collection or national/international survey programs (e.g., HILDA, Census).
  • Experience supporting or operating within executive governance frameworks in the public sector.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, complex program delivery in government or data-related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of program delivery disciplines such as risk management, governance frameworks, vendor coordination, and milestone tracking tools.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate layered and risk-sensitive environments effectively.
  • Strategic thinking and sound judgment in managing delivery complexity while providing executive-level assurance.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently while contributing as part of a multidisciplinary team.
