About the RoleAre you a natural communicator with a flair for connecting people and turning conversations into opportunities?
In the position of Sales and Business Development, you'll be the face of Aero Ranger, leading conversations with councils, partners, and customers, creating new opportunities, and driving growth. You'll be proactively engaging prospects, booking product demonstrations, running showcase sessions, and turning interest into long-term relationships.
Part of your day will be spent engaging over the phone, having conversations, and building relationships. You'll be confident picking up the phone and skilled at prospecting leads. You'll then book face-to-face meetings and product demonstrations, turning interest into opportunities and opportunities into results.
Working closely with management, marketing and the larger sales team, you'll help drive the growth of our AI-powered tech in councils and community partners.

What You'll Be Doing- Connect with purpose – Reach out to the right contacts and partner organisations to start meaningful conversations that open real opportunities.
- Plan and lock in demos – Schedule product showcase sessions that drive engagement and are at the core of our sales success.
- Keep your CRM spotless – Log every contact, call, meeting, and follow-up with precision so the whole team stays aligned and informed.
- Own your pipeline – Track activity, move deals forward, and make sure every opportunity gets the attention it deserves.
- You're confident on the phone – Striking up a conversation with someone new.
- Experience that counts – You've spent 5+ years in sales or business development (extra kudos if it's in B2B or government).
- People skills on point – Warm, approachable, and genuinely great with people, on calls, in meetings, or over email.
- Clear communicator – You speak well, write clearly, and know how to keep it professional and engaging at the same time.
- Tech-savvy and proud – CRMs, spreadsheets, calendars, digital tools — you're on it, and always a step ahead.
- A scheduling superstar – You thrive on structure, love a good plan, and juggle priorities like a pro.
- Work-ready – You've got full Australian working rights and can hit the ground running.
- Traveler – You love visiting your customers, being available and there to assist.
- Council or government know-how – You've worked with local government, regulated industries, or public sector clients and understand how they tick.
- Tech world familiarity – You've had a taste of SaaS, HaaS, or supported hardware/software product rollout programs in the field.
