About the Role

Join our team in one of Sydney's premier high‑rise buildings as the Lead Handyman, where your broad maintenance skills and strong experience will be highly valued. You'll be responsible for ensuring the building's common areas and tenant needs, are maintained to the highest of standards.

Candidates must have 4-8 years of handyman and maintenance experience to demonstrate the broad skills and expertise required for this role.

Essential trade skills include carpentry and painting capabilities to perform the range of maintenance tasks required.

Advanced/commercial level carpentry experience is required for this position.

This position is available to Australian citizens only.

Key responsibilities include:

  • You will report directly to our Operations Manager, along with client-side managers
  • Conducting reactive and preventative maintenance tasks across a high-rise, commercial tower in the CBD.
  • High-rise building maintenance experience is preferred but not essential for this Lead Handyman position.
  • Performing a range of trades‑related work: minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical (basic / minor tasks only), painting/repairs, door/lock mechanisms, finishing touches, caulking, tiling, etc.
  • A valid White Card certification is required for this role.
  • Liaising with building management, and contractors to coordinate larger jobs, quotes, scheduling
  • Ensuring safe working practices at height, you will have experience and knowledge of compliance with WH&S and building codes.
  • Keeping a high standard of presentation, responsiveness to resident/tenant requests, documenting jobs and maintaining maintenance logs.
  • Assisting in managing subcontractors for specialist tasks, supervising contractors in common areas, reporting faults and ensuring follow‑up.
