Systems Support Officer

Your new role:

This role combines operational expertise with strategic leadership to manage and optimise complex radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) within a major tertiary hospital. It ensures the seamless delivery and continuous improvement of radiology informatics services, while leading a professional team to uphold high service standards. With this role you will:

Oversee the management, optimisation, and continuous improvement of RIS and PACS services at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Ensure reliable image transmission and verification for patient transfers across state health districts.

Lead and develop a team of professionals, fostering their growth and maintaining service excellence.

Provide strategic leadership to integrate and enhance radiology informatics within the hospital and broader health network.

Collaborate with stakeholders to support system upgrades and ensure alignment with clinical and operational needs.

Princess Alexandra Hospital:

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
