Casual position available for Face-to-Face delivery in Lightning Ridge
Are you passionate about helping others build the skills they need to succeed in the workforce or pursue further vocational training? We are seeking a dedicated Foundation Skills Trainer to deliver a qualification designed to develop essential skills for individuals preparing for employment or vocational pathways.
About the role.....
This role will require you to:
• Deliver training in foundation skills, including literacy, numeracy,
communication, and digital literacy
• Provide tailored support to students to help them develop a clear vocational
training and employment plan
• Create a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance
• Support students in preparing for workforce entry or further vocational
training opportunities
About you.....
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
• TAE40122 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or
TAE40110 including TAELLN411 and TAEASS502
• and have completed one of the following (or equivalent):
- TAESS00026 Foundation Skills Integration Skill Set or TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set
Or a higher-level education qualification, such as:
TAE80113 Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice (or its equivalent TAE70111)
Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education, or higher (including qualifications in TESOL, adult education, or vocational education)
Demonstrated expertise in delivery and assessment of foundation skills, using
the ACSF or equivalent
• Digital literacy skills and the capacity to train others in this area.
• Be a driven, supportive and community minded person, working with
disadvantaged learners and non-English speakers to support them in building
future opportunities for themselves through learning
• Be able to motivate and upskill participants to improve their LLN skills to
complete education and gain employment
• Strong knowledge of the VET sector and the National Standards for RTOs
