Solicitor – Recovery (Banking & Finance)

We're partnering with a well-established specialist firm in Sydney that is looking to grow its Recovery team.

This role is ideal for a driven solicitor with 1–3 years' PAE and a passion for banking, finance, or property law. If you're looking to work in a structured, high-volume environment where your commercial thinking and attention to detail are valued – this could be the right move for you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drafting legal documents across banking and finance recovery matters
  • Managing a high volume of litigation files with autonomy
  • Representing clients in court, including advocacy work
  • Providing legal analysis and staying across developments in relevant legislation
  • Supporting junior lawyers with legal research and mentoring where required
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Contributing to business development and process improvement initiatives

What we're looking for:

  • 1–3 years' PAE and admission to practice law in Australia
  • Background in banking, finance, property, or litigation highly regarded
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working with volume-based work and following structured processes
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Interest in expanding your skill set within the banking and finance sector
