The role

We shape meaningful places where communities connect. Help build the future of security and emergency management across Vicinity's national portfolio.

We're seeking a highly skilled National Security Operations Specialist to join our Centre of Expertise for Security and Emergency Management. This role is pivotal in supporting our National Security Operations Manager and driving best practice security strategies across our assets.

You'll play a key role in:

  • Strategy & Policy: support the implementation of security strategies, conduct risk assessments, and support the rollout of Standard Operating Manuals (SOMs) and training. Support the design and implementation of appropriate security measures to mitigate identified risks
  • Incident Reporting & Analysis: Manage incident reporting systems, analyse crime trends, incident patterns and identify opportunity and risk response areas; and provide actionable insights to improve security practices
  • Contractor Management: Partnering with security providers to ensure compliance, service excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Asset Operations: Supporting centre teams on security, emergency management, and technology investment strategies
  • External Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison with law enforcement and coordinate training events
  • Emergency Management: Assist with emergency response, training oversight, and incident reviews

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years' experience in law enforcement, security operations, emergency management, or related fields.
  • Proven ability in incident investigation, risk assessment, and compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience managing security providers.
  • Current Security Licence and Victorian Driver's Licence.
  • Knowledge of security and emergency management principles, national regulations, and data analysis techniques
