About the role
Are you ready to make a real difference for our members? Step into a position where your expertise truly matters. As a Principal Claims Coach, you'll be at the heart of our claims team, helping shape how we support our members and drive positive outcomes. You'll work with passionate people, tackle interesting challenges, and play a key part in building a culture of learning and improvement.
Day to day, you'll:
- Provide expert advice and technical coaching on complex life, disability, and income protection claims, supporting team capability and proactive claims management.
- Lead group training sessions, develop coaching plans, and collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to identify and address training needs.
- Report on trends, achievements, and ensure compliance with ART and statutory guidelines, contributing to quality frameworks and successful integration of new products and processes.
- Prepare and review claim submissions, support effective decision making, and handle sensitive, high-value, or escalated issues with care and confidentiality.
- Drive improvements in processes and member service, foster a positive team environment, and step up to leadership opportunities within ART Life.
This role is a 12-month max-term opportunity.

About you
We're looking for someone who brings more than just experience. You understand the ins and outs of the life insurance industry, and you know your way around technical details and regulations. You're a natural coach, ready to share your knowledge and help others grow, while staying proactive and collaborative every step of the way.
- You've got experience managing complex claims holistically, especially in the life insurance industry.
- You've worked with early intervention, rehab, or community services, and you understand the regulatory landscape.
- You love mentoring and supporting others, with a strong track record in coaching.
- Your technical acumen helps you navigate complex claims and guide others.
- Experience in life/disability insurance claims is a plus.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field are desirable.
- You're proactive, collaborative, and ready to make an impact.
