Job Description:

As a Technician Assistant based in Gympie, you will play a crucial role in our operations, focusing on preventive maintenance and customer service. Your responsibilities will include assisting with repairs, maintenance, and installations of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

This is a hands-on role that requires a technical mindset and a keen interest in mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist technicians on-site with repairs, maintenance, and installations
  • Perform periodic maintenance for commercial and domestic customers
  • Maintain TSR work premises, site areas, machines, and tools
  • Complete daily administrative tasks using Simpro Mobile
  • Ensure all client paperwork and safety reports are accurately completed
  • Participate in weekly toolbox and monthly safety meetings
  • Manage materials and inventory efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including uniforms, vehicles, and job sites
  • Assist with workshop duties such as gardening, outdoor maintenance, and gas bottle management

Skills and Experience:

  • Motivated and hands-on with a technical/mechanical mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail, well-organized, and able to meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • HVAC&R industry experience, or experience in a similar trade, is highly advantageous and will be looked upon favourably.
