About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our team at Civwil Earthworks & Williamson Partners (Qld) Pty Ltd in Brisbane QLD 4000. In this position you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of construction plant and equipment across a range of civil earthworks, civil stormwater and hydraulic installations

What you'll be doing

  • Operate construction plant and equipment such as excavators, skid steer, rollers and other machinery in a safe and responsible manner, completing daily tasks.
  • Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Assist in the coordination of plant and equipment movements on site
  • Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Report any issues or concerns with plant and equipment to the site supervisor
  • Work effectively as part of a team to support the overall construction project

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Plant Operator in the construction and Civil industry
  • Relevant plant operation tickets/licenses (e.g. excavator, skid steer, roller)
  • Strong knowledge of construction plant and equipment operation and maintenance
  • Commitment to safe work practices and environmental sustainability
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
