Indoor Plant Designer and Client Relations

Summary:

• Highly sought after Design and Client Relations role for our indoor plant hire and landscape maintenance business.
• Role may be full time or part time, but will require a minimum of 3.5+ days per week.
• Horticultural knowledge essential.
• The role involves working with new and existing clients of Advance Plants to (i) design and install new indoor plant installations in offices, shopping centres, hotels and other commercial environments; and (ii) provide quotes for works our landscape maintenance team undertake.
• Advance Plants has a very strong focus on building a high quality team. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, enjoy working hard, take pride in their work, and have great client management skills.

• Brisbane based (our head office is at Albion). We will also accept applications from people based on the Gold Coast, however they would need to commit to working from our Brisbane office for a minimum of 2-3 days per week.

About this role…

• We have a small Design and Client Relations team that works with new and existing clients of Advance Plants to design and quote on new indoor plant installations. This team also helps our landscape maintenance division quote on ad hoc works that our clients request (e.g. new gardens; mulching jobs; arborist works etc). Given the growth in our business, we are looking to expand this team.

• The successful applicant will:

• Regularly meet with our clients, and so must be well presented and have exceptional client management and communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Design new indoor plant installations, and so must have well developed design skills as well as be experienced in a range of software programs required to develop highly professional quotes for our clients (e.g. Canva).
• Be relied on by our clients for their horticultural advice, so must have a passion for horticulture as well as strong knowledge/experience in this area.
• Be responsible for pricing new work, and so must have strong commercial acumen as well as experience working with programs like Microsoft Excel to undertake pricing work
• Work closely on a day to day basis with both our Indoor Operations team (e.g. arranging installations for approved quotes) as well as with our Landscaping team. They therefore must be a great team player.
• Be able to be relied on to take complete ownership of projects from first client meeting through to handover, including design, quoting, supplier liaison, and coordination with our installation teams.
• Be comfortable working in a high paced environment and able to balance speed with accuracy, ensuring proposals and designs are created efficiently and with excellent attention to detail.
• Full time or part time position (minmimum 3.5 days per week).
• Based at our head office in Albion, Brisbane.
