LO-GO Appointments is seeking experienced Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators for temporary and permanent assignments throughout Queensland. 

LO-GO Appointments have several positions available with Councils in the North, South and Western Queensland, giving Operators an opportunity to travel while fulfilling temporary assignments. 

Non-local candidates will be provided with self-contained accommodation for the duration of the temporary assignment and will be compensated for travel expenses at the beginning and end of the assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain Water and Wastewater treatment plants in a safe and competent manner;
  • Ensure that all testing and reporting of results is undertaken for the relevant treatment plants;
  • Assist with monitoring treatment plant processes to ensure compliance with industry guidelines, regulatory standards and statutory requirements; and
  • Perform general plant cleaning duties and maintain machinery and infrastructure to meet necessary quality requirements.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations with experience in the operation and maintenance of water and sewerage treatment plants;
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and storage;
  • Demonstrated computer operation skills;
  • General Construction Safety Card;
  • Current C class Drivers License;
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call roster and weekend work.
