Management Accountant – Join a Collaborative & Growing Finance Team

An excellent opportunity has opened to join our dynamic Finance team as a Management Accountant. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team that values collaboration, professional growth and making the workplace fun.

This role is perfect for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys business partnering, analysis, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation. Experience within the aged care or healthcare sector will be highly regarded.

About the Role

As our Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering financial accuracy, insight and guidance that helps to shape MACG's success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading month-end processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and management reporting.
  • Providing oversight of transactional finance (AP & AR) and ensuring balance sheet integrity.
  • Supporting budget preparation, forecasting, and ongoing monitoring with the CFO.
  • Partnering with operational leaders and Home Managers to provide financial advice and resolve queries.
  • Preparing and analysing financial statements to support decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial frameworks, statutory obligations, and reporting requirements.
  • Assisting with audits, payroll-related government reporting, and grant applications.
  • Contributing to a culture of improvement, efficiency, and collaboration across Finance.

About You

You are a detail-oriented and solution focused accounting professional who thrives on translating numbers into actionable insights. You'll bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Business.
  • CPA or CA qualification (essential).
  • Strong financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A professional approach with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience in the aged care or healthcare sector will be highly regarded.
