Job Overview:
We're seeking a highly experienced Corporate Accountant (Senior to Manager level) with at least 7–8 years of relevant expertise to take the lead in our financial operations. This role will oversee daily transactions primarily for our Australian business, with some oversight of our Philippine accounts. 6 months contract role starting ASAP.

Job Responsibilities:
Finance
• Overseeing and managing all aspects of the finance and payroll function
• Oversee of the month end process including ensuring the completion of the General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the P&L statements
• Preparation and presentation of monthly reports for the Managing Directors
• Preparation of annual statutory accounts
• Submitting taxation returns such as PAYG, BAS, GST and liaising with external tax specialist
• Liaising with external auditors and bank
• Cashflow forecasting for the Managing Directors for AU and PH businesses
• Management and maintenance of finance systems (Xero)
• Assisting with development and improvement of internal processes and procedures
• Preparation of financial analysis modelling as required
• Ensure timely submission of required documentations to licensing and statutory registrations
• Timely issuance of invoices to clients
• Oversee the accounts for MOS Inc. and liaise with external accountant as required
• Maintenance of inter-company loan account
• Ensure integrity of supplier, employee payments and petty cash fund reimbursement
Payroll
• Managing internal Payroll Officer and overseeing weekly payroll for on-hire staff
• Process internal/management fortnightly payroll
• Monthly Payroll Tax lodgment and payments
• Process quarterly superannuation
• Ensure employee payroll data is accurate
• Calculate workers compensation payments (if required)
• Maintenance of clients' profile information in system
• Maintain accuracy of clients' rates in system
Qualifications:
- CA or CPA Qualified
Technical Accounting & Finance:
• Financial Reporting: Proven ability to prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Management Accounting: Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performing variance analysis to provide insights to the leadership team.
• Tax Compliance: Deep understanding of Australian tax law, including the preparation and lodgement of BAS, GST, FBT, and particularly State Payroll Tax calculations.
• General Ledger Management: Meticulous in maintaining the general ledger, performing bank reconciliations, and managing month-end closing processes.
Industry-Specific Expertise:
• Experience on Payroll Tax in multiple states and process superannuation payment (High-Volume Payroll Processing: This is non-negotiable. The candidate must have hands-on experience overseeing a complex weekly payroll, including basic understanding awards, superannuation, and other on-costs.)
• Invoice & Debtor Financing: Demonstrable experience in managing and reporting on invoice financing facilities. They need to understand the covenants, reporting requirements, and cash flow implications.
• Commercial Job Costing: The ability to analyse the profitability of individual clients and placements to ensure we are maintaining our target margins.
• Labour Hire / Recruitment / BPO Environment: The candidate must have prior experience working in a similar high-volume, transactional business. This ensures they understand our business model, the importance of margins, and the fast-paced nature of our operations.
Systems Proficiency:
• Advanced Excel: Must be an expert in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, and financial modelling).
• Accounting Software: Xero,
