In this fast-paced role, you will be working from end-to-end on expediting key mining and industrial projects, from estimation and contracts to procurement and supply.

The company supports a very wide range of facility design and project supply nationwide across a broad range of sectors that now includes mining, resource and industrial projects. With a growing demand from this sector, there is a need for a Procurement & Contracts Specialist to use their sector expertise and lead the delivery of these projects in line with the company's proud reputation for consistent high-level performance and quality outcomes.
More about the Role
This will be a hands-on role, but excitingly, as the mining and industrial sector projects grow, there is the opportunity to also grow your own team. You will therefore have a great deal of autonomy while also working collaboratively with the business development team and other internal and external stakeholders both locally and internationally. Specifically, you will be involved with:
- Reviewing and translating mechanical plans and schedules,
- Producing estimates and quotations for pipe/valves and fittings
- Contract administration and post-tender negotiations
- Preparing take-offs and quotations for large tenders
- Reviewing tenders and tracking for large projects
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers to source product solutions, pricing, availability, and technical information
- Costing evaluation
- Pricing escalation
- Planning the logistics around product supply
- Returnable scheduling.
About You
Adept at building rapport with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally, locally and internationally, you are results-driven and flexible, committed to fostering productive relationships and an exceptional communicator as well as skilled negotiator with strong attention to detail. You also bring:
- Experience in a procurement/contracts/estimation or projects role within the mining/resource/industrial sector
- Knowledge of piping, valves and fittings products
- Strong project coordination experience
- Strong Microsoft skills, specifically in Excel
