Procurement and Contracts Officer

Specialised opportunity for a Procurement Professional, established procurement function in outstanding culture.

Randstad is partnered with a Victorian State Government agency to recruit an Procurement and Contracts Officer on a 6 month contract with possibility of extension and further employment. Join an outstanding team with great culture and development opportunities.

Your new role will involve

  • Leading end to end procurement strategies and processes, delivering exceptional service to your stakeholder group and assisting to deliver the broader commercial objectives of the University
  • Project management of multiple projects and transformations, and proactive development of a forward procurement plan
  • Strategic engagement with technical stakeholders, delivering a high level of business partnership and providing advice
  • Conducting commercial negotiations, developing sophisticated negotiation strategies and ensuring true partnership is achieved with suppliers

What you need to succeed

You will be a skilled and personable procurement professional with:

  • Experience in end to end sourcing/procurement
  • Experience in the commercial negotiation and drafting of contracts, and superior written skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset to allow strategic advancements
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes in a fast paced environment whilst respect for probity requirements
  • You will be a community minded individual, able to work cohesively with your team while showing commitment to the University's values and underlying ethos of being Student Centered
  • Tertiary qualifications in procurement or other relevant commercial disciplines will be highly regarded
