Position Profile:
The Director Business Performance and Improvement is responsible for managerial accounting functions within WACHS: Audit, System Manager, CE and Board reporting. The department is responsible for the reporting of financial compliance matters broadly to internal and external stakeholders (including regulating authorities). The role is also responsible for developing and maintaining financial reporting tools, using suitable market platforms available to WA Health agencies. This position ensures appropriate budget targets are set and monitored across WACHS.

This position managers three teams: Business Improvement, Budget Strategy & Risk and Audit. Broadly the department aims to promote better understanding of WACHS' service delivery models and ultimately improved financial performance.

Eligibility to Apply:
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
