Minnippi Golf & Range is a brand-new 18-hole golf course and driving range that opened in September 2023, with our newly constructed 150 seater restaurant Cooee due to open late January, all only 15 minutes from the CBD of Brisbane, Queensland

We have a position available for an enthusiastic and creative Sous Chef to join our team and support a multi-talented team in our kitchen and hit the ground running and live up to the culture and values of Clublinks.

Cooee Café & Restaurant has been designed to provide the community with a fresh, modern, family friendly space to connect over coffee, drinks, lunch, and dinner only 15 minutes from the CBD. With a focus on locally sourced produce, the aim is to offer a quality driven contemporary family friendly bistro style menu; within a stylish outdoor setting licensed for 150 people and open 7 days a week. This adaptable and relaxed venue will be a sought-after destination for the local community and avid golfers from all around Brisbane and we are looking for a new team of "Happy Experts" to deliver an outstanding food & beverage offering.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef will assist in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen while mentoring and supporting the team to deliver high-quality food across all hospitality outlets, including:

  • Cooee Café & Restaurant
  • The golf shop
  • Corporate golf events and other F&B offerings

Weekend availability and flexibility with shift times are essential to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations

  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing food production and ensuring consistent, high-quality output
  • Assist with implementing control procedures including food safety, OH&S, and daily production charts
  • Contribute to menu development, recipe documentation, and production forecasting
  • Maintain sanitation standards and support sustainability-focused food concepts
  • Assist with stock and inventory management, including ordering and stocktakes

Facility Management

  • Ensure the kitchen remains safe, clean, and operational
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and asset management
  • Maintain daily housekeeping standards

About You

Essential Criteria

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role within hospitality, entertainment, or recreation
  • Cert IV in Commercial Cookery & Food Safety Supervisor certification
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced F&B environment
  • Creative, passionate, and results-driven
  • Solid financial and business acumen
  • Experience in rostering and stocktaking
  • Energetic and vibrant approach
  • Current First Aid certification & National Police Check
