We are seeking a motivated and experienced Collections Officer to join a reputable and well-established National collections company based in the CBD.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of commercial accounts, requiring strong negotiation skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with commercial clients to negotiate the repayment of outstanding debts.
  • Establish and manage suitable payment arrangements tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver high-level customer service by building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Manage legal proceedings related to debt recovery, including the drafting of court documents and enforcement of judgments.
  • Oversee litigation files, handle correspondence, and utilise relevant search tools.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all reporting requirements as needed.

About You: To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Prior experience in debt recovery, ideally in a commercial or consumer collections environment, with skip tracing knowledge a plus.
  • Exposure to debt recovery litigation and a solid understanding of legal processes (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A sound understanding of privacy regulations, UCCC, and relevant legislative frameworks.
  • A professional and positive attitude with a focus on delivering outcomes.
