The Opportunity
We are seeking an individual with a can-do attitude to join our People & Marketing division as a Facilities Officer. As part of a friendly, collaborative team, you will play a key role in the day to day office maintenance and operations, ensuring that the La Trobe Financial offices operate efficiently, smoothly, and at an exceptional standard. You will be responsible for the daily coordination of incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining La Trobe Financials' filing, archiving and stationary purchasing, as well as supporting with event set-up and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Facilities Officer include:
- Coordinating tenancy maintenance, repairs and upgrades
- General office and kitchen maintenance
- Managing, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintaining sufficient levels of stationary, restocking staff fridges, and the ordering of office equipment
- Maintaining La Trobe Financial records, filing, archiving and document management system
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
- Conducting facilities inspections and proactively addressing findings
- Involvement in facility / tenancy related projects and initiatives
About You
You will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar Facilities Officer role, within a corporate office environment. You will also possess the following:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise and self-manage
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Professional, with a positive can-do attitude
- Ability to problem solve and handle objections
