
Laboratory Supervisor

IDEXX is seeking a passionate and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our PCR department in our state-of-the-art, custom-designed facility in Eight Mile Plains — the largest veterinary diagnostics lab in the Southern Hemisphere.

As our Laboratory Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of innovation and excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, effective, and timely quantitative and droplet digital polymerase chain reaction diagnostic testing.
You will:
Champion compliance with NATA and ISO accreditation standards
Drive a culture of exceptional customer service
Mentor, coach, and empower your team to reach their full potential
Manage daily operations and ensure smooth workflow
Lead quality control and continuous improvement initiatives
Troubleshoot and optimise lab performance to meet tight turnaround times
What you will bring:
A Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent)
Skilled in running and troubleshooting qPCR assays and potentially ddPCR
Hands-on experience in a diagnostic PCR laboratory with veterinary disease familiarity
Proven success in leading and motivating teams
Strong PC and data entry skills
Understanding of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Familiarity with biosafety cabinet protocols and hygienic lab practices
A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety
A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
