Position Overview:

We are seeking a driven and experienced National Imports E-Commerce and Depot Manager to lead our bonded depot operations and oversee our e-commerce import logistics nationally. Based at our Chipping Norton site, this is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong operational oversight, regulatory compliance expertise, and a deep understanding of the e-commerce supply chain.

You will manage the operations of our S77G licensed bonded depot, ensuring full compliance with ABF and AQIS regulations, while also driving efficiency and performance across e-commerce import processes. This position plays a pivotal role in aligning warehouse and office functions, supporting national e-commerce distribution, and leading a high-performing team across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily operations of the S77G bonded depot in full compliance with ABF and AQIS regulations.
• Lead and optimise all import-related e-commerce logistics, including inbound freight handling, order processing, and final mile delivery coordination.
• Act as the primary liaison with ABF, DAFF (formerly AQIS), and other regulatory bodies for inspections, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Lead a multi-functional team including depot staff, e-commerce logistics coordinators, casuals, and contractors; manage rosters, performance, and compliance.
• Coordinate the national import flow of goods, ensuring accurate tracking, timely customs clearance, and efficient last-mile dispatch.
• Improve and maintain WMS (Warehouse Management System) accuracy, ensuring all cargo is scanned, labelled, and tracked in real time.
• Supervise unpacking of sea freight containers, ensure efficient storage, and plan despatch based on order and service priorities.
• Streamline depot workflows, space utilisation, and overall operational layout to support growing import volumes and seasonal peaks.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, customer service teams, and senior management to align e-commerce and depot operations with broader business goals.
• Monitor and report on KPIs related to e-commerce fulfilment, delivery performance, and depot efficiency.
• Stay current with industry and regulatory updates related to e-commerce imports, ABF, and AQIS requirements.
• Perform other duties and improvement initiatives as directed by senior leadership.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, or e-commerce supply chain operations role.
• At least 2-3 years' experience managing a bonded depot or in a similar managerial role.
• Hands-on experience in managing S77G bonded facilities and understanding regulatory processes (preferred).
• Proven ability to manage high-volume e-commerce import and fulfilment operations.
• In-depth knowledge of ABF, Quarantine (AQIS), and international customs procedures.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of motivating and managing warehouse and logistics teams.
• Advanced planning, coordination, and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), with an ability to liaise across departments and with regulatory bodies.
• Proficiency in using WMS, inventory control systems, and MS Office Suite.
• A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field (preferred).
