Haven Fencing is a long-established Melbourne fence contractor specialising in custom-designed fencing, balustrades, and a wide range of automatic gates. Since 1986, they have been manufacturing and installing high-quality, Australian-made solutions for residential and commercial projects across Victoria and are currently seeking an experienced Estimator / Scheduler to join their Bayswater facility.

Position Overview:-

This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be trained to become a key part of the business. You will be responsible for estimating jobs, preparing drawings, and scheduling work for the factory. This role is a unique opportunity to be mentored and grow with the company, as you will be assisting the new Director who is taking over this long-standing family business.

Your main responsibilities and duties will include:-

  • Quoting for the manufacture and installation of fencing and gates
  • Working from drawings and client notes to prepare costings
  • Preparing drawings and bills of materials for manufacture
  • Scheduling work for the factory and installation teams
  • Assisting with occasional site visits or driving (4-tonne truck)
  • Being adaptable and willing to assist with other hands-on tasks as required

Your experience, skill set and qualifications will include:-

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computing skills (MS Office Intermediate, especially Excel)
  • Experience with CAD applications is required
  • Previous experience in the building, manufacturing, or construction industry
  • An adaptable, 'can-do' attitude and willingness to learn
  • A valid driver's licence

Salary Range:- Attractive salary, dependent on experience level
