We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil construction company with a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects across the region. They deliver work in drainage, roading, earthworks, and three-waters—and are looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join their commercial team.

About the Role

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for projects ranging from $1M to $30M.

This includes:

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents
  • Completing quantity take-offs
  • Sourcing subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Preparing detailed estimates, cost schedules, and tender submissions
  • Working with project managers and engineers to finalize bids
  • Supporting post-tender clarifications and variations
What You'll Bring
  • Experience estimating civil construction projects
  • Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, roading, or three-waters
  • Good commercial and numerical skills
  • Confident analysing drawings and doing take-offs
  • Strong communication and the ability to meet tender deadlines
  • NZ experience or good knowledge of local standards/contracts
