This is a temporary role running until the end of June 2026, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives that elevate design across government and industry. You'll work closely with senior staff, manage external contributors, and help deliver programs that influence public spaces and infrastructure.

About the role:

You'll support and manage projects that promote design excellence in the built environment.

  • Provide strategic advice aligned with the team's design-focused goals
  • Assist senior staff in planning and delivering programs and initiatives
  • Conduct targeted research to inform project development
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage external consultants and contractors to ensure quality outcomes

About you:

You bring a strong foundation in design and project management, with the ability to lead and collaborate under pressure.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines
