The Opportunity

WEM Civil is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality civil construction projects while leading site teams, managing client relationships, and driving project outcomes.

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee the full lifecycle of civil projects – from planning and procurement through to delivery, handover, and client satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with Construction and Site Managers, Finance, Preconstruction, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Oversee project planning, progress, and delivery in collaboration with Construction and Site Managers.

  • Manage procurement, subcontractors, and compliance with statutory and safety requirements.

  • Develop and maintain project programs, budgets, and timelines to ensure profitability.

  • Lead client communication, manage expectations, and deliver positive project outcomes.

  • Identify risks, manage contracts and variations, and resolve disputes effectively.

  • Support tender submissions and build strong client and industry relationships.

  • Champion safety, quality, and environmental standards across all projects.

  • Lead, coach, and motivate Site Teams to achieve project objectives and foster continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience in project management within the civil construction industry.

  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Competence in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
