Company Description

The Koonya Garlic Festival Association is a community association run by volunteers, who are committed to promoting all things Garlic, and a range of local producers, artists, musicians, winemakers and foodies in the historic village of Koonya on the beautiful Tasman Peninsula, south east Tasmania. The Festival has grown significantly over the past 10 years and is delvered at the end of February each year. Next Festival is planned for Saturday 28th February 2026 in Koonya.

Event Co-ordinator

We are keen to engage an upcoming or emerging event professional, who wants to make their mark and build their portfolio to commit to a small number of hours per week from October 2025 through to the Festival. We will also need you for 1-2 weeks full time before the Festival, on the day, post Festival  to collate and review feedback. We hope you will grow with us over the coming years to further develop the Festival.

You will work closely with the President to convene the organising committee, manage logistics, provide regular updates, deliver the program and liaise with key stakeholders and funders e.g Tasman Council, Events Tasmania, Sponsors, Stallholders, Local makers, Wineries, Artists etc…

You will be supported by a large number of volunteers to deliver on the detail to make this Festival a success.

You must have your own ABN, the right to work in Australia and ability to work autonomously.
