Having opened the Northern Marina in 2013, Keppel Bay Marina has over 500 berths for both short and long term rental, catering to vessels up to 35m. All berths have power and water connections, as well as 32amp power available on request.

From humble beginnings, opening as Waterline Café, a coffee and sandwich bar in the corner of the new Keppel Bay Marina building in 1996, The Waterline Restaurant as it is known today has forged a reputation for the best quality food and friendliest service on the coast.

The Waterline Restaurant at Keppel Bay Marina invites applications for an experienced Cook.

Aside from the excellent view, we offer a modern contemporary menu with Asian influences seven days a week.

Job Details:

Position: Cook

Job Type: Full-Time, 38 hours per week

Salary: $76,515 plus superannuation

Location: 1 Waterline Way, Rosslyn, QLD 4703

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
  • Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
  • Preparing and cooking food
  • Seasoning food during cooking
  • Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
  • Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
  • Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
  • May plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • May train other kitchen staff and apprentices

Required skills and attributes:

  • Minimum three years' experience in a fast-paced kitchen, qualifications preferable
  • A career-focused progression as a Cook with a passion for food;
  • Ability to be adaptable and work various shifts across a 7-day operation;
  • Previous experience in a high volume a la carte restaurant environment;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong work ethic;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • As you are working in an Open Kitchen, Cook must have a good kitchen
  • temperament and personal presentation;
  • Being a team member;

Previous experience in modern Asian/Australian cuisine is preferred.
