We are seeking to employ a full-time Cook who is reliable, experienced, and passionate about the hospitality industry. The successful applicant will join our busy kitchen team and contribute to delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service to our valued customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with our established menu and quality standards.
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen inventory effectively.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to maintain productivity and high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, kitchen safety, and sanitation requirements.
  • Assist in developing new menu items and daily specials, incorporating creativity and customer feedback.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.
  • Report maintenance issues and equipment faults promptly.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Must hold at least an AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
  • Must have a minimum of 12 months full-time work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
  • Strong understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Salary:

A minimum annual salary of AUD $76,150.00 will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
