This is more than a HR role; it is an opportunity to join a growing business and shape the future of our people and culture This role will provide you with the opportunity to be the go-to advisor for MUJI NSW stores, guiding managers and employees. You will play a pivotal role in:
- Leading proactive employee relations – resolving workplace matters early and constructively
- Advising on FairWork and General Retail Industry Award (GRIA) compliance ensuring decisions aligns with legislative requirements and MUJI's standards
- Supporting investigations and performance management with fairness, empathy and professionalism
- Partnering with leaders and coaching them to build confidence in handling people matters and fostering trust within their teams
- Championing wellbeing, learning and development and helping managers create a respectful and inclusive workplace
- Driving a safe, healthy, and respectful culture by ensuring WHS compliance and directly supporting managers in proactively addressing staff wellbeing risks.
- Serving as the primary, dedicated HR contact for all NSW store teams, providing reliable, expert advice and operational support
- Assisting the wider HR team by supporting cyclical activities, including recruitment, annual performance processes, and other ad-hoc projects where required

- Tertiary qualification in human resources or related field
- 1-2 years' experience in a generalist HR or ER/IR advisory role, ideally within a retail environment
- Strong understanding of ER/IR legislation, and a practical people first approach preferably within a retail environment
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law, the General Retail Industry Award, and related legislation
- A high-level emotional intelligence, cultural awareness and sensitivity, with an ability to navigate situations with discretion
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with others across all organisational levels
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines while collaborating effectively with team members
