Responsibilities
  • As a Technical Specialist – Data Engineer, contribute to dynamic data insights, cutting-edge platforms, AI-powered advancements, and automation initiatives.
  • Lead in data analytics to fuel informed decision-making and drive business value.
  • Help design and implement modern data platforms, cloud solutions, and data infrastructure.
  • Drive optimization through comprehensive business intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Support automation of workflows and scalable data architectures; partner with teams to enable high-value tasks.
  • Contribute to data modelling (star schema, snowflake, lakehouse) and performance tuning; apply IaC and CI/CD practices.
Qualifications
  • Experience in data engineering with hands-on Spark SQL for data modeling and transformation
  • Programming: Python (PySpark) and/or SQL
  • Experience with DBT, Apache Spark or Delta Lake; understanding of DBT concepts
  • Experience building Power BI models and visualizations; knowledge of DAX
  • ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, DBT; SQL engines including Spark SQL, Databricks SQL, Snowflake
  • Knowledge of distributed storage, partitioning, and performance tuning
  • Experience developing and deploying data infrastructure as code (IaC); CI/CD environments
  • Strong SQL and data modelling (star/snowflake/lakehouse)
  • Optional: exposure to orchestration tools (Airflow, Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, Fabric Pipelines)
  • Extensive experience with large data sets and robust data architectures
  • Familiarity with data modelling concepts: Inmon, Kimball, snowflake, star, dimensions, facts, data lakes, data warehouses, data vault
