Your responsibilities:
As an Administrative Officer, your role will be pivotal in supporting the daily operations of our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating office activities, handling calls, emails, mail, and maintaining records/databases.
- Assisting with schedules, travel arrangements, and meeting organisation for management and staff.
- Monitoring office supplies and preparing documents, reports, and presentations.
- Assisting with payroll by collating timesheets, checking staff hours, and supporting general accounts tasks.
- Helping Project Managers with freight coordination and updating the company scheduling system.
- Maintaining registers and service records for equipment, ladders, and vehicles.
- Supporting WHS documentation and compliance (SWMS, vehicle registers, office safety checks).
- Light office upkeep such as keeping meeting rooms and common areas tidy (note: cleaners attend regularly).
- Assisting colleagues and management with additional tasks as required.
Highly Regarded (but not essential)
- Previous experience in the electrical, construction, or service industry.
- Familiarity with WHS processes and documentation.
- Experience maintaining registers for vehicles, equipment, or assets.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in administration, with exposure to payroll and accounts support.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and accounting software (Xero, MYOB, or similar).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset.
Highly Regarded (but not essential):
- Previous experience in the electrical, construction, or service industry.
- Familiarity with WHS processes and documentation.
- Experience maintaining registers for vehicles, equipment, or assets.
