Petuna is seeking an Accounts and Sales Support Officer to join our Commercial and Finance team and provide key sales, order, and administrative support in a growing aquaculture business. This position is based in Launceston or Devonport.

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts and Sales Support Officer to join our Commercial and Finance team. This full-time position provides administrative, financial, and customer service support to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of orders, pricing, and reporting.

You will be a key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, playing an important role in maintaining strong relationships and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Commercial Business Analyst, key duties include:

  • Entering and processing customer orders, purchase orders, credits, and invoices in the ERP system.
  • Validating pricing against agreements and resolving discrepancies with the Sales team.
  • Preparing sales reports and support materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting forecasting, rebates, accruals, and reporting through accurate sales data tracking.
  • Collaborating with supply chain and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Maintaining documentation, procedures, and system records.
  • Assisting with accounts receivable, credit control, audits, and system clean-ups.
  • Providing general administration support across the Commercial and Finance, and Sales teams.

About You

You will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in customer service, sales coordination, or finance administration.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Qualifications in business, commerce, or administration.
  • Experience in FMCG, seafood, or food service industries.
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Knowledge of inventory or order-to-cash processes.
