Griffin Marine Services is a leading marine service provider specialising in multi-disciplinary industrial services and project management. We service a diverse range of clients, including prime defence contractors and commercial shipping companies. Position Overview:

This role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, managing cost controls, project accounting and continuous process improvement. The position requires strong collaboration with the CFO and coordination with payroll and accounts payable functions.

Key Responsibilities:


• Prepare monthly management reports, budgets and forecasts, providing insights to drive financial performance.


• Monitor and evaluate financial performance against KPIs, providing insights and recommending actions for improvement.


• Assist in cash flow forecasting and liquidity management planning.


• Oversee cost control, project accounting and margin analysis across operations.


• Support strategic planning, capital investment and board-level reporting with the CFO.


• Contribute to pricing strategies and contract evaluations.


• Improve financial systems, reporting tools and processes to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of finance operations.


• Collaborate with Payroll, Accounts Payable and auditors to ensure compliance and operational integrity.


• Foster a high-performance finance culture through teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:


• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.


• CA or CPA qualification completed or currently in progress.


• Minimum of 5 years' experience in management accounting within manufacturing, engineering or maritime industries.


• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g. MYOB, Xero).


• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.


• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll, taxation and compliance requirements for medium to large businesses.


• Proactive team player with a commitment to workplace safety, integrity, and compliance.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• First Aid Certification (desirable)
