About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager –who has experience working with the exterior landscape sector to drive growth within the Melbourne and Regional Victoria market.

This role is focused on expanding the presence of Diomede Light — a premium Italian-designed and manufactured exterior architectural lighting brand, proudly represented and distributed by Sphera Lighting across Australia and New Zealand.

The Diomede Light range combines elegant Italian design with robust marine-grade and UV-stabilised construction, ideal for Australia's demanding coastal and outdoor environments. Its products cater to both residential and commercial landscape applications, offering durability, performance, and aesthetic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

·     Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Diomede Light's market presence in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

·     Develop and maintain strong relationships with landscape architects, landscape designers, landscapers, lighting designers and developers.

·     Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase the Diomede range of exterior lighting solutions.

·     Collaborate with internal design and technical teams to deliver tailored lighting proposals.

·     Negotiate contracts, close sales, and achieve revenue targets.

·     Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming projects to identify growth opportunities.

·     Attend Local Trade Shows, Events and Exhibitions

Skills and Experience

·     Proven experience in business development with a strong existing network within the Melbourne and Victoria landscape architecture, landscape design and landscape communities

·     Excellent Verbal and Written communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.

·     Strategic mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach coupled with experience working autonomously and reporting directly to management

·     Passion for design, innovation, and delivering high-quality client outcomes.
